Georgetown Commons is a small and quiet community of 67 homes where everyone looks out for their neighbors. The neighborhood spreads over three streets that all meet at the front gate next to the community pool. Yes, we do have a community pool which is open from the Friday before Memorial Day till the last day in September or as determined by the HOA Board. The pool is child friendly and the ladies use the pool for their weekly water aerobics. Neighborhood volunteers help maintain our pool.
The neighborhood does have an HOA which is comprised of seven elected individuals who do their jobs as volunteers. All of them have an interest in making their community even better than when they moved in. The Board organizes get-togethers at the pool for decorating parties before Christmas as well as other opportunities to celebrate special national holidays.
Once you get settled in, you will find that we have several other activities which bring the neighbors closer together:
- On the first Tuesday of each month, the men meet for breakfast at a local restaurant.
- The ladies share lunch 3rd Wednesday at noon each month at different restaurants that have some variety in the menus.
- If you would rather enjoy evening socializing, the monthly Wine and Appetizer gathering is the perfect solution for you.
- Tired of all this eating ladies?? Then play Bunco once a month with 11 other ladies. They gather at different homes at 7:00 pm.
On the business side, the community is close to many local restaurants such as Chili’s, Cheddar’s and I-Hop. For grocery shopping you will find Albertsons, Kroger and Walmart within a 1 to 3 mile radius. Pharmacies and fast food restaurants are also well represented in our area. Should you feel convinced that this is the place for you to settle down, then contact your local realtor for any homes that are currently available. We would love to welcome you to Georgetown Commons.
